Hello, we are Julien and Loïc! 👋

We are two developers who care deeply about how we think, not just how fast we ship, in this age of generative AI.

We’ve spent years in different companies building products, writing code, mentoring others, and navigating an industry that moves faster every year. Along the way, one thing became obvious: the developers who grow the most aren’t the ones who code the most. They’re the ones who think the clearest.

With AI changing how software is built, this matters more than ever. Code is becoming cheaper to produce. Execution is accelerating. But deciding what to build, how to build it and why it matters, is still a human skill.

That’s why we’re building Jots.

Jots exists to help developers slow down just enough to think better. Not just to write lines of code, but to reflect on their work. To ask better questions. To challenge decisions. To learn from their experiences instead of rushing to the next task.

We believe critical thinking is becoming the core skill that developers at any level need to have.
